What's In The Box?
The ZOLL AED Plus Defibrillator uses Duracell CR123 lithium batteries (10) which are available over the counter. They are good for 5 years in the unit. Depending on where they are purchased you are looking at $50-$75. The batteries coupled with the 5 year shelf life of the CPRD pad (competitors have 2 years) make cost of ownership of the Zoll AED Plus defibrillator very attractive. The warranty is 5 years however there is a registration card with each AED Plus unit we ship that will add 2 additional years once the unit has been registered. This can be done online making the warranty a 7 year warranty.
ZOLL's AED Plus® Defibrillator features Real CPR Help®, a tool that is able to actually see what you are doing and provide feedback to help you do it well. Audio and visual prompts help you rescue with confidence and clarity unmatched by any other automated external defibrillator (AED)
The Zoll AED Plus is an automated external defibrillator that uses voice prompts and visual indicators to guide the rescuer through a resuscitation sequence that may include defibrillation and/or cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR). The unit incorporates the ZOLL Rectilinear Biphasic Defibrillation waveform, and operates in either adult or pediatric mode. The Zoll AED Plus supports both adult and pediatric defibrillation electrode pads, and automatically adjusts the defibrillation energy based on the type of electrode pads connected to it. Following attachment of electrodes to a victim’s chest, the defibrillator monitors the electrocardiographic (ECG) rhythm of the victim’s heart, analyzes that rhythm, and determines whether the rhythm is shockable or non-shockable. When needed, defibrillation energy is delivered through these same electrodes. When the unit detects a shockable rhythm, it charges and issues the warning
ZOLL believes AEDs should not just deliver a shock. They should also help the rescuer provide high-quality cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR). That's why you need ZOLL AEDs, the AED Plus with Real CPR Help.
